Rachel Lord

Rachel Lord is a refreshing figure in surfboard building. Although she’s garnered notable recognition for her rebellious pokes at surfing’s status quo–her most enduring pursuit is honoring and refining surfing’s most classic shapes—namely, the egg, the fish, and the traditional noserider. She’s something of an alternative traditionalist. While Rachel was introduced to surfing later in life, she’s since committed herself steadfastly. She’s quickly become a competitively decorated kneeboarder, has created a livelihood off her label LordBords, and is currently splitting her time neatly between Ventura and her van, always in pursuit of good surf and revelations in design.
