Troy Elmore

Troy Elmore lives and works in Costa Mesa, California where he has become a respected contributor to the preservation of the handbuilt. His practice is one noted by extreme attention to detail and functionality across a wide-spectrum of performance. Troy shapes the whole gamut with extreme proficiency, from traditional keel fishes, to performance-oriented small craft, all the way up to single-fin longboards and everything in between. 

Troy’s approach is less interested in reinvention than it is refinement. His designs represent a careful study of traditional surfboard theories while including multitudes of subtle adjustments suited for the modern approach. The high-functionality of his interpretations are evidenced by his simultaneously elegant yet aggressive surfing. As longtime contributor to our stock racks, we’re very much looking forward to hosting Troy this Fall 2026 in person for his shaping residency.
