Dana Gleason has been crafting outdoor gear since the early 1970s and maintains an established legacy as a founding father of the outdoor industry, as well as a significant figure in pack design. He began the brand Kletterwerks with five pack designs in 1975 after moving to Bozeman, Montana, and went on to experience an eight year run of business. In 2012, Dana 3, Dana's son, re-established the Kletterwerks name with his own vision for how some of the original Kletterwerks designs function in the present.
We are excited to pair with Dana 3 and the Kletterwerks crew to offer a selection of Kletterwerks packs in a combination of Cordura Nylon color schemes, special for our shop. A repurposed 1000 Denier coated Cordura Nylon (a fiber engineered to make stronger tires) is the foundation for packs that are detailed with nickel-plated Waterbury buckles. All of our packs have the original Kletterwerks logo patch that is cut to the Pilgrim Surf + Supply pennant shape. The main zippers are YKK #10, with YKK #8 zippers on the lid and pockets. Each zip has the original Kletterwerks leather zip pull.
